Important Messages from the OMMU<\/h3>\n

Senate Bill 2514 was approved by the Florida Legislature and was signed into law as Chapter 2025-204, Laws of Florida, on July 1, 2025. Senate Bill 2514 amended section 381.986, Florida Statutes, to require the Florida Department of Health’s, Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU) to revoke the Medical Marijuana Use Registry registration of patients and caregivers who are convicted of, or pleads guilty or nolo contendere to, regardless of adjudication, a violation of chapter 893, on or after July 1, 2025, if such violation is for trafficking in; the sale, manufacture, or delivery of; or possession with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver a controlled substance.<\/p>\n
